What is SASA?

Who We Are

SASA New Logo.png

The South Asian Student Association collectively embraces the cultures of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka in an attempt to promote and celebrate the richness and diversity of South Asia. SASA provides an interactive and safe environment for all students of all backgrounds, to explore the vastness of South Asia through events including, but not limited to cultural celebrations, discussion panels, socials, general body meetings, and more. Some events we have hosted are Ice Skating, Movie Nights, Garba, Diwali, Holi, Eid Iftars & Celebrations, and Alumni Discussion Panels. SASA provides a space for the South Asian Diaspora and all students interested in South Asian culture to convene and embrace one another as a community.

We hope you take the time to explore this website and the many facets of SASA. There are many ways to get involved with the community from attending our events to joining our Executive Board. If there is something you'd like to see SASA do, don't hesitate to reach out to us at syracuseusasa@gmail.com. We greatly appreciate your interest in SASA and the South Asian initiatives at Syracuse University.

Sincerely,

The SASA Family
